De-framing Freedom

 

 

To be or not to be

is emerged from being

Being is and not, likewise,

            acted out of free will

Will to act and will not to act

            designed by willingness

Such binaries delineate free acts

            i.e. freedom in and through the choices

Truly, no alternatives and choices construct

            what freedom to be perceived

Once acts – constructed, conditioned and contrived

            cannot be genuinely free and voluntary

That is why,

Freedom is not free at present

            on account of engaging ourselves with desirable conditions

Freedom must be rather impulsive than compulsive

            Experiential than explicable

When the conscience of beings intuits that

            born-free as every being in the universe

All our potentiality – possibility, actuality – finality,

            will be triggered and disclosed palpably

Freedom dwells in and instinctively impels one

            to act freely, willingly and appropriately

Being-free is to be interiorly experienced than

            Becoming-free from to be externally exercised

Thus, expressing freedom in mere words – inadequate

            It becomes meaningful when consciously lived out!

Freedom at hand! Freedom at last!!!
